The Penn Legacy 93 Black girls coached by DoC Seamus Donnelly and Girls Travel Director Lee Kasun won the Eastern Pennsylvania Indoor State Cup on January 17 at Lanco Fieldhouse.  After advancing to the knockout phase the girls beat FC Revolution (Reading) 3-0 in the quarterfinals and then beat Montgomery United (Philadelphia Area) 5-0 in the semi-final.  In the final Goalkeeper Lauren Trower's free kick found the back of the net to give Penn Legacy a 1-0 lead, but with three minutes left in the match Lower Merion (Philadelphia Area) equalized setting up a 5 minute Sudden Death overtime period.  With a little over two minutes left in overtime Lindsay Hutchinson's perfect strike netted the Golden Goal and dramatically ended a very well played final.

Emily "Boo" Lanser of the Penn Legacy U14G Black team scored her 100th goal under the HSC / Penn Legacy banner on 10/26/2008.  Emily has played for the club since she was a U10 player and has been a key contributor to the team's two State Challenge Cup Championships (2007 & 2008).    She also is currently on the State 1994 EPYSA  ODP team.   Probably more impressive than the goals she has scored is Boo's team attitude and work ethic which drove her teammates to elect her as one of the squads Tri-Captains.  Pictured above is an action shot of the 100th goal and a picture of a Emily with a "commemorative" ball which her teammates signed and presented to her following the game.

PENN LEGACY 98BLACK U10 GIRLS WIN YMS EPIC TOURNAMENT

In a nail biter finish, the 98 Black U10 Girls brought home another championship trophy for Penn Legacy.  The girls defeated Hockessin Force (4-0) in their opening game of the 2009 EPIC Tournament held in Yardley, PA.  Their second game of the tournament proved no different as the girls captured a win against the Buckingham Flash 3-0.  On Sunday the girls met FC Revolution and tied 1-1.  Due to the two shut out points from Saturdays games the team went on to the final match against the CRUSA-Cosmos.   The girls held tight and kept the score 0-0 as the final whistle blew sending the game into a 5 minute overtime.  After an intense 5 minutes the score still 0-0 the final whistle blew sending the game into PK's.   With nerves of steel the Legacy girls held tight and completed 4 of their 5 PK's with the Cosmo's only completing 2.

Congratulations to the Penn Legacy 94 White girls team.
