Once again this fall we will be offering additional Fall Optional Training sessions for those Penn Legacy players who are in Middle School or High School but do not play school teams. 

The training session are free and will be conducted by the Penn Legacy Staff Coaches. The sessions will begin on Sept 8 on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:40 pm to 9:00 pm and will be held at the Quad.

A great way to keep your foot on the ball if you are not playing fall soccer with your school!

 Fall Goalkeeping Sessions

Our Goalkeeping Sessions have been expanded to 10 weeks (previously 8). This will again be run by the hugely popular Adam Lewis and Joy Shelly, and assistance will be provided by Kenny Archer, Wendell Hannaford, and Kohl Orner, (and me when needed!).

WHAT: PL Goalkeeper Training Sessions
WHEN: Dates - Every Thursday evening starting September 8th and going through to November 10th.
6:15-7:15 - u9s and u10s, and u11s
7:15-8:15 - u12s, u13s, and u14s*
8:15-9:15 - u15s and older*
*This may change for a few weeks depending on the numbers for the last group while school ball goes on. Any change will be determined after the first sessions and communicated to those players affected.

WHERE: The Quad
WHAT TO BRING: A ball, gloves, water, and hopefully GK pants or old sweatpants for any diving on turf.

New Look Speed, Agility, and Coordination Program

This fall we have revamped the program in conjunction with the expert staff at Spooky Nook Sports. 
Starting on September 6th through October 13th at 4:30-5:30 pm we begin the training sessions. 
U9's & U10's - One session/week - $48 for six weeks
Tuesday Training Day
U11, 12 13, 14's - Two sessions/week - $89 for six weeks
Tuesday and Thursday Training Day

Pre and Post Testing for Athletes
20 Yd, 40 Yd, Pro Agility, Broad Jp, and Triple Jp
September 6th - Pre Test
October 18th - Post Test

Training components
Foot Speed, Agility, Speed Development, Power and Coordination. 

From my point of view, to become the best footballer you can possibly be, you need to think of a starting point without a ball. Of course the ball, and mastery of the ball, is the single most important thing, but it is not necessarily the first thing. Before all that you need coordination, you need to master your body, you need to ready (on your toes). For example, I may have a first touch like Messi, but if my footwork is slow or clumsy then that will make my first touch irrelevant in many instances during a game. Speed, agility, and coordination are KEY elements of becoming the best athlete and footballer that you can be. So we offer this program to you at the lowest possible price, and we allow the experts to work their magic, and hopefully you will see the results in your pre and post testing, and also out on the pitch.

If driving conditions are a concern, please watch the umbrella area of the Penn Legacy site for updates.  Updates are generally posted 1 hour prior to a session.

If outdoor weather looks threatening during sessions, please remain in the area for quick pick-up of players.

For sessions held at Lanco Fieldhouse or The Nook, please see their websites to determine if weather impacts the facility closing.
